We had a great experience at Willow Creek Dentistry. My 11 year old grandaughter was petrified when I suggested she needed to have a check up, teeth cleaning and fluoride treatment. The hygienist explained the whole procedure and acknowledged her fears, made her feel part in the decision making. When the Dentist came in he again explained in detail what he was about to do he made flossing and sugarbugs fun. Also they both educated her in teeth care. She had one cavity that she will have to get taken care of, but the process was again explained. It's refreshing to find a dentist and staff that take the time with a young lady to give her a lifetime of confidence with her smile. Thank you. Update: That cavity was taken care of with lots of explanation and very little discomfort. It was definitely a great experience for first (and hoping last) filling.

The services provided were great. I would speak very highly of the professionalism of all the individual I dealt with My only major complaint was that the parking lot was very unsafe. There was a major snowstorm a day prior to my appointment The parking area was only marginally scooped out. There was packed snow and slush covering the main entrance. Half the lot appeared not to have been cleared at all the parking for handicapped individuals were not even cleared at all. It was very unsafe for me to get to and from my car. If my husband were not there I would have needed to cancel my appointment. Please get this fixed for future snowstorms or I will need to find a different dental office . One where I can safely park to get into the office

I was a patient when Dr. Eastman was still around. After Dr. Voshell acquired the dental office, I decided to stay and give the office a try. Dr. Voshell is an excellent dentist and great at what he does, and Jenna is hands down the best dental hygienist I have ever had in my life. I tried to go to a different dentist for a bit (Red Hawk in Coralville) since my insurance changed and I paid a bit more going to Willow Creek Dentistry, but after my experience at Red Hawk I decided that the quality of care at Dr. Voshell's clinic cannot be matched elsewhere. I re-established my care with Dr. Voshell and Jenna, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. I give 5 stars and I recommend everyone give this office a try!! All staff are very personable and professional!

I started coming to this location when it was Eastman Dental, as they had good reviews and were close to our house. My first few experiences were just with cleanings, but when I had to get a cavity filled, it was an amazing experience. I’ve had many good visits with Dr. Voshell and the assistants at Willow Creek Iowa City. I’ve had cleanings and exams and have had several old, cracked fillings replaced. This week, I just had a fractured crown removed, the tooth prepped and the temporary crown placed. I’ve seen many dentists in my time. I have little tolerance for pain. Dr. Voshell has up to date equipment to make me as comfortable as possible while he’s working. I don’t feel any discomfort or pain as Dr. Voshell works on my teeth. When he says I might feel a pinch, there is no pinch. When he says this might feel uncomfortable as he fits something around my exposed, crown-less tooth, there’s no discomfort. Painless treatment is one great quality in a dentist! It’s also clear to me that Dr. Voshell is patient and takes care to achieve the best possible result as he works. This is another great quality in a dentist. I’m eager to have him put in two new bridges that I need because I know they’ll be done well. The third great quality in a dentist is his choice of excellent, friendly, skilled assistants. They always make my visits pleasant :) I happily recommend Dr. Voshell and all of the staff at Willow Creek Iowa City to take good care of your smile, too!

June 4, 2024 If I could give a 3.5 rating I would, but today I felt like I didn't get the quality of work that I've gotten in the past. The hygienist seemed to be rushed, after cleaning she had someone else polish, not sure it was as good a job as what I have had done in the past. Before even getting the polishing done, the wireless equipment wasn't working due to lack of recharging. Was a bit disappointed that things weren't checked before putting a patient in a new room. I will give Dr. Voshell a 4 star, as he was thorough with the exam, although he didn't mention anything about having cavities, so I'm going to presume that there was none. He did smooth out a rough spot on a molar, which now feels much better. I wish that I could have given a better review, but hopefully when I go back in 6 months, things will have improved.

I am a student at the University of Iowa and I have the school's health insurance. I have been going to Willow Creek since I got to Iowa and by far Dr. Voshell is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. They are so friendly and he is always willing to answer all of my many questions. He always runs my insurance first and tells me 1) what the insurance will cover, 2) if there will be any out of pocket costs, and 3) if there are out of pocket costs, how much those costs will be. This makes it really easy to make informed decisions. I've never been hit with a surprise bill here. He gives a really clear analysis of what my options are if I ever need to have any sort of procedure done and tells me when he thinks I can wait to get something done. I have never felt like something was a money grab. While doing procedures he always tells me about any sensations/noises that I should expect to feel/hear. He's very kind about me needing to have earbuds in sometimes to deal with the noises. I have never felt judged or shamed for any reason at this office. If you need any sort of accommodations, this is by far one of the best offices you can go to. And overall he is a very kind, down-to-earth, and genuine person. I cannot recommend this office enough.

He makes sure that necessary procedures are recommended. He did an exemplar job of restoring my tooth. He took the time to make sure it was beautiful, that my bite was aligned, and it was comfortable. To top all this off he has a variety office hours to pick from and is conveniently located just off of Mormon Trek in Iowa City.

After several hours of research and asking friends for recommendations, I decided on Willow Creek Family Dentistry: The staff was patient and kind and Dr. Voshell didn’t make me feel rushed and answered all my questions. He takes steps to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible through the entire process. And for the first time after having fillings, I’ve had no sensitivity when I did with my previous dentist. I’m really glad I went here, I feel very good about my future dental health. I feel silly for being so nervous to switch dentists. The entire staff was EXCELLENT, I’d HIGHLY recommend Willow Creek Family Dentistry to everyone!

I like Eastman Dental. My dentist before was great, and his team let his patients down and refused their insurance. I did some research and came up with Eastman Dental. I have had nothing but positive experiences (except that cavity) with the staff and Dr. Eastman. From the first time I called to see if they accepted our insurance I was so happy with the customer service and patience answering all my questions. Bailee was a great first impression for me. This was our first visit to Eastman Dental. On Friday, We took our 3 year old and 11 year old in for exams/cleanings. I was pleasantly surprised and amazed with their professionalism and customer service. Monday my husband and I had our exams and we were both very happy with the treatment we received as well. The courtesy of the staff, the information they provide to you throughout the whole process has set the bar for our next dental visits. We hope to continue with them as long as we are still in Iowa. I do have to say, I anticipated the office would have a kid area and the exam room would have something for them to look at on the ceiling to distract them but the staff was so good with them neither of my kids had an issue and all that kid stuff wasn't needed! My only recommendation would be to have a few children's books in the lobby. Thanks Eastman Dental for taking great care of our family.

Dr. Eastman is such a great dentist! I hadn’t been to the dentist in awhile and I had never had a filling. Dr. Eastman and his team (Jenna and Bailey) took a lot of time to explain to me everything they were doing and why, they showed me my xrays and pointed out exactly what they were seeing. I ended up needing 2 fillings and Dr. Eastman walked me through that very carefully and was very gentle, making sure I was comfortable with everything they were doing. I definitely recommend!

If they can, they are very flexible with your schedule. Very little to no wait time. Arrived there 15 minutes early? Then you start your appointment early.
